As you already know, due the COVID-19 pandemic, I have been experiencing some economic challenges. I have explored various mechanisms to raise some funds, all to no avail. The current economic situation of the country has greatly affected my business finances. Consequently, the situation has forced me to make a difficult, but necessary decision to furlough your employment.
Your compulsory leave of absence will be effective ________ and will end on ________.
Please note that the leave of absence is only temporary as you still remain my employee. More specifically, during the furlough period, you will not be required to perform any work duties or come to work, and you will be given no remuneration, compensation, bonus, or other employment benefits.
Other than the provisions stated in this letter, the terms of your employment contract remain the same except same is modified with your consent. You shall continue to be bound by the terms and conditions of your employment contract and other policies that apply to you as my employee.
