A Housekeeping Agreement is an agreement between two parties where a housekeeper or housekeeping service company agrees to provide cleaning services for a client. This Agreement allows both the parties to specify the service requirements and how they shall be provided, including specific guidelines to be adhered to by each party.

Having a properly drafted Housekeeping Agreement will help the parties ensure the duties and responsibilities of each party is completed on time as per the agreed terms.


How to use this document?

This Agreement can be used by any type of entity/person and can be used both by clients who wish to avail of the housekeeping service ("Clients") or cleaning company/housekeeper who wishes to provide service to a client ("Service Provider").

This Agreement covers the following major provisions:

Parties: The type and details of the parties i.e. client and service provider are included under this Agreement. The Parties can be an individual, company, partnership, LLP and so on.
Details of the housekeeping services: the details about housekeeping services can be mentioned under this Agreement. If required, a detailed description can be mentioned under Schedule-A to the Agreement.
Code of Conduct: The rules and regulations to be followed by the housekeeping staff at the premises of the client.

Statutory Compliance: This defines statutory compliance requirements to be followed by both parties such as minimum wages, insurance, PF, etc.

Term: The period for which the Agreement is valid and how and in what circumstances the Client and Service Provider can terminate this Agreement, notice period of termination of this Agreement, and so on are included under this clause.
Confidentiality: Under this, Both parties agree not to disclose confidential information including trade secrets, know-how, plans and so on to any third parties.

Once the details are filled in, this Agreement can be printed on non-judicial stamp paper of value prescribed by the concerned state where this Agreement is executed. The Agreement has to be signed by two independent witnesses who are not a party to this Agreement.


Applicable Law

The acts and rules under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 will be applicable for this Agreement.
