A Letter to Employees about New or Updated Work Policies is a document that serves as an announcement to inform employees of changes in the work policies. These changes may come in the form of the implementation of new policies or the update of existing policies.
Anytime there are changes to a workplace policy, it is important to inform employees about said changes so that they know what is expected of them.
This letter accomplishes that by being a simple and direct line of communication between the employer and the employee. In this letter, the employer can inform the employee of the new and/or updated policies, the date when the policies will be effective, and what employees can do in order to review the relevant policy or policies.
How to use this document
This letter can be used to update all the employees of an organization, or a specific department or departments and/or people.
The user should enter all the information required to complete the document. Once the document is completed, the person sending the letter should review the document and, if the information is correct, sign the same. If the policy/policies will be attached to the letter, then these should be attached to each copy before being distributed. Once the document is signed and, if needed, the policy/policies are attached, it can be distributed to all relevant employees. This is usually done by email or by giving out hard copies.
There are no specific laws that apply to this letter. However, the policy or policies to which the letter refers to may be subject to different laws, depending on its subject.
In general, the Labor Code of the Philippines governs employment in the Philippines.
