Letter of Request for Salary Increase

A Letter of Request for Salary Increase is a document an employee can use to request a salary increase from his/her employer. This application may be made via email or letter as it serves as a record documenting the request in the event that the request is denied now but considered later.

Before making this request, it is important for the employee to make sure that the timing is right. For example, the employee may make this request if the employer's business is experiencing tremendous growth, if the employee has been very instrumental to the growth and success of the employer's business and the employee is due for a salary raise, etc.

Before filling this form, the employee must gather resources that will help justify a salary increase. This will be the accomplishments and achievements of the employee especially the ones the helped improve the employer's business.
