This Meeting Notice is used to provide a formal announcement of an upcoming meeting to a group of people. This sort of Notice is most commonly used for shareholders, directors, partners, or other parties who are involved in running an organization. Generally, if official organizational action will be taken at a meeting, there is a requirement that the shareholders or directors receive a formal notice of that meeting. This document provides that notice and can be used as proof that notice was provided in case of future dispute.

How to use this document

This document includes all of the information required to provide notice of a meeting. This Notice includes important information including the date, time, and location of the meeting. The Notice also describes what sort of meeting is being held (e.g. annual, regular, special, etc.) and the purpose of that meeting.

Once this Notice is completed, it should be signed by the appropriate organizational official and sent to all of the members of the relevant group who are expected to attend the meeting. A copy of the Notice can be attached to the meeting minutes as evidence that notice of the meeting was provided according to state law and organizational bylaws.

Applicable law

As with most matters related to organizations and corporations, Meeting Notice is governed by state law. State law and/or corporate bylaws generally state how long before a meeting notice must be given, usually between 10 and 60 days in advance depending on the frequency and type of meeting.
