Remote Work Policy during the Covid-19/Coronavirus Crises

The Remote Work Policy is a guideline that regulates employees that work from a non-office location. Remote work is an arrangement between an employer and an employee authorizing the employee to work from a suitable location other than the office environment or premises.

Due to the global pandemic- the Coronavirus (otherwise known as COVID-19), corporations and organizations are now forced to shut down their businesses to limit the spread of the virus, which means that employees will start working remotely.

It is worthy of note that working from home does not reduce a person's effectiveness. On the contrary, this arrangement will allow employees to work in a convenient environment, thereby improving their productivity as the employees will continue to be bound by the organization's rules, policies, and guidelines as contained Employee Handbook.

This policy outlines the responsibilities of staff during the remote work, the situations where a remote working arrangement may be authorized, and the conditions for remote work. This document is useful in this critical period when offices are being shut down due to the Coronavirus to limit the transmission of the deadly disease.

After completing the document, the document should be printed and a copy of this document should be given to the employees of the organization.
