This document outlines an organization's policy on discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. This policy is used by employers to inform their employees about how they intend to handle issues relating to discrimination and harassment. Discrimination occurs when an employee is given unfair treatment, especially on the grounds of their gender, age, medical condition, race, ethnicity, nationality, and other individual differences.

Harassment in the workplace can be sexual or non-sexual. Examples of sexual harassment include an unwanted display of inappropriate images or videos, unwanted touching of any sensitive or private part of another, making an unsolicited and inappropriate sexual joke. Non-sexual harassment is any word or action that intimidates, threatens, or annoys another.

This document covers the following:

- description of actions that constitute discrimination and harassment;

- how the employer intends to handle issues relating to harassment, discrimination, and retaliation;

- the roles of employees and managers regarding this policy;

- how employees can make complaints relating to a violation of this policy;

- the actions the employer has in place to prevent discrimination and harassment.

This document only covers certain misconducts in the workplace, such as harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. However, the Code of Conduct Policy is a set of rules that outline professional and ethical conduct that employees are expected to maintain in the workplace.
