This Letter is used by an employee to report a case of harassment at the workplace. This employee that sends the letter is one that has been harassed by a co-worker at the workplace. Harassment is offensive conduct that can intimidate or humiliate a person. Nigerian law prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination.

Harassment can be sexual or non-sexual. Examples of sexual harassment include an unwanted display of inappropriate images or videos, unwanted touching of any sensitive or private part of another, making unsolicited and improper sexual jokes, etc. Non-sexual harassment is any word or action that intimidates, threatens, or annoys another party, such as negative or racists comments that may be described as workplace harassment.

Many organizations have an Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy and Code of Conduct Policy which outlines acceptable conduct and practices at the workplace and also stipulates sanctions for a variety of offences or misconducts, harassment inclusive. The policy may also state the procedure for reporting incidents of harassment, which includes reporting the alleged offender to the management of the organization.
